Welcome back!! In the last post, I described about, how virus infects your computer, and given the links of free edition of AVG antivirus 8.5 , the latest version. AVG is used by 80 millioin people worldwide & is very effective if you surf good trusted sites. The combination of AVG with some Registry cleaner or Mechanic?? is a very good combination & will be sufficient to protect your computer without spending a penny. Any virus or worms,changes the registry of your computer (registry are the database stored on your computer for running any operating system or softare). For example if you are using Windows Xp then there are database in your computer for that.you can see or edit your registry by typing "regedit" in "run" box at the "start" button of your desktop & hit "enter". Vista & windows7 users can open it in search box.
start--> Run-->regedit--> Enter--->registry editor.

Virus changes the registry default values, so the software registered in the computer do not work properly.

You can correct your computer by restoring your computer to a back date, when your computer was working properly.

*Note: Restoring your computer will not remove the viruses, & the permanent solution is to remove the virus.

Antivirus softwares remove virus but do not correct the registry changes already done by the virus, so even after installing antivirus programs, your computer runs slow.
